While car enthusiasts line the sidewalks on Sunday night to watch jacked up rides cruise down Portage Avenue, a different kind of cruising takes place in the parks, parking lots, and side streets. Cruise Night is an experimental short film and sound art project that’s part of an ongoing exploration of public sex, queer geographies, and car culture in Winnipeg.

These visual landscapes – in juxtaposition with the regional Chiac dialect spoken – offer a witty queer exploration of contemporary Acadian cinema.
