Synopsis:Why’s it so important to be a boy or a girl? Wen Long was born intersex. The nine-year-old wears both boys’ and girls’ clothes and plays with toys intended for both genders. Problem is, others don’t know what to think of it. Girlsboysmix explores how preposterous imposed binary gender divides are. Clothing, toys, toilets– all strictly separated. Wen isn’t interested in making a choice, she just wants to be herself.
