Somewhere in the world there is a remote island. In a lodge by the sea, a Chinese writer immersing herself in writing encounters a Japanese girl who is in a melancholic mood. Green Thoughts is a film about encounter and farewell, as well as about loss, absence, and remembrance of some transient moments falling and fading.
